| Hiking Treks |
This was the first area in our nation designated National Lakeshore and was authorized as such in 1966. Pictured Rocks beckons visitors to explore the 73,000 + acre park, with multicolored sandstones cliffs, beaches, sand dunes, waterfalls, inland lakes, wildlife and the forest of Lake Superior shoreline. At its widest point it is only five miles and hugs the Superior shoreline for more than 40 miles. This High Adventure Challenge, which will be physically, and mentally challenging to the participants. The trek includes all food, transportation, 50 Miler patch and all National park fees. Hike the breathtaking rock faces high above Lake Superior in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Enjoy 50 miles of virgin forest, beautiful rock formations all while hiking in pristine beauty with Lake Superior at your side. This is part of the North Country trail system running from North Dakota to New York. The Pictured Rocks segment is the most famous.
