Detroit Area Council will host a Northern Tier  contingent of six 8-person crews in August, 2008. Reservations for these crews can be submitted from October 10, 2006 through March 15th, 2007.

Units may use the reservation form on the back. Telephone requests will not be taken.

1. A drawing will be held at next year’s Camp Rally in March.
2. Requests will be divided in to two categories. Those who have been to Northern Tier  before and those units that have never been to Northern Tier . Preference will be given to units who have never attended.
3. Reservation requests will be drawn and placed on a list in the order that they were drawn.
4. If requests exceed crew slots then a waiting list will be created.
5. Each unit selected be offered one or two 8-person crews.
6. Maximum crew size is 8 members. A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 crewmembers must be adult advisors.
7. A $1000 deposit per crew is due by September 1st, 2007. If a unit fails to meet the deadline the crew will be given to the next unit on the waiting list.
8. Deposits are refundable provided the slot (crew) is accepted by one of the units on the waiting list.
9. Units will pay for 8 crewmembers even if they are not filled.
10. The High Adventure Committee has flexability to place scouts and scouters wanting to go to Northern Tier into crews that are not filled to capacity.
