Camperships

No boy should be deprived of a camping experience because of inability to pay. A limited amount of campership funds are available and may be awarded if the following procedures are fulfilled:

1. The Unit Committee should appoint a Unit Campership Representative who will be required to be a oriented to their responsibility. These responsibilities are outlined on the Unit Campership Representative Instructions.

2. Secure campership applications from the Customer Service desk at the Dauch Scout Center.

3. Properly fill out the form, observing the following:

  • A campership is between the Scoutmaster or Unit Campership Representative and the parent. Even the boy doesn't have to know.
  • Each campership is reviewed on an individual basis with the parent, boy (if appropriate), and Charter Partner paying what hey can afford.

4. When the campership application is approved, a campership credit letter will be sent to the Unit Campership Representative. This campership is applied toward the total camp fee for the boy and credited to the unit camp payment record. Any remaining balance is the responsibility of the unit or the individual Scout.

5. Camperships cannot be transferred to another Scout.

6. No Scout should ever miss camp because of funding.
