National Youth Leadership Training - Woods & Water

 Scheduled Training

NYLT (formely JLTC) focuses on building both leadership skills and Scoutcraft skills. Scouts function in Troop, Patrol, and individual settings. Scouts who complete NYLT are prepared to meet the challenge of working together with other boy leaders and adult leaders to help make their troop the best it can be. There is a breakfast, along with Wood Badge participants, typically held in January where the Scoutmasters & Scouts can learn more about the NYLT courses and meet the NYLT staff.

The Detroit Area Council runs one NYLT session. One held at the D-bar-A Scout Ranch (Pines Training Center)..
