WHAT IS IT? The College of Commissioner Science is a continuing education experience for the registered Unit Service Commissioner. The courses available for this training will complete your Basic and Bachelor Training. The administration of the College is under the control of a board of directors. The College provides unit service commissioners the opportunity to get the "View from the Top" about commissioner service. The College is organized along the lines of an institution of higher learning, such as a college or university that grants a degree after completion of a course of study. There is a curriculum designed by the Faculty to give each attendee a high quality training conference. Completion of College requirements individuals may earn a Bachelor of Commissioner Science degree, a Master of Commissioner Science degree or a Doctorate of Commissioner Science Commissioner Science Degree Requirements
Awarded to all first year attendees regardless of previous training or experience, currently registered as a commissioner and covers the requirements for Commissioner Orientation and Commissioner Basic Training. Completion of seven courses of instruction, at least five of the courses at the bachelor's program level. The curriculum of the Bachelors program of the College of Commissioner Science is planned so that you can get the broadest possible exposure to Scouting with seven class periods. You will find the classes include a mix of teaching styles and content. It is our hope that these classes will be informative, thought provoking and enjoyable. The Bachelors curriculum is based upon the needs of Unit Commissioner. Many of our first year participants have worked in the capacity for a number of years. Some of the classes are specifically intended to bring you up to date with the latest in Scouting programs while others are designed to broaden your knowledge as commissioners. Some of the classes anticipate that you will share your experiences with others for the benefit of all. MASTERS OF COMMISSIONER SCIENCE DEGREE
