Community Partners Program and Merit Badge Sessions

The Detroit Area Council Committee works with local companies and organizations through it's Community Partners Program to provide Advancement merit badge sessions for a variety of Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing Programs.

If your company or organization is interested in working with the Council Advancement Committee and becoming a Community Partner, please contact Warner P. Iseppi Council Advancement Chair 248-435-4351.

The Council Advancement Committee will work with you to:

  • assist in advertising your session(s)
  • certify your merit badge counselors
  • provide course curriculum that can be used or modified
  • review modified curriculum
  • provide merit badge graphics

Workshop opportunities for Webelos

Scout workshops at the Detroit Science Center offer hands-on activities and themed educational programs. Each program is designed to fulfill badge/pin requirements while providing scouts with a unique experience. Programs offered fulfill Brownie Try-Its, Junior Girl Scout Patches, Cadette/Sr. Girl Scout Interest Projects, Cub Scout Academic Programs, Webelos Pins, and Boy Scout Merit Badges.
