Introducing... Internet Advancement
Internet Advancement is the latest online-processing tool from the National Council Boy Scouts of America. Internet Advancement allows units to enter youth advancements, awards, and merit badge information in a timely and accurately manner. In order for you to begin the Internet Advancement process, you will first need to have a unit ID number. You can call the council office at (313) 897-1965 to obtain a unit ID number. Once you have obtained a unit ID number, assign an adult to record advancements. Ranks must be recorded based on program identification and in the correct rank and date sequence. Eagle Scouts cannot be awarded by this process. Also, nominated awards, such as meritorious action, and other awards nominated by other organizations cannot be awarded by this process (even if approved for uniform wear). For information to distribute to your unit please click here for the Internet Advancement Fact Sheet. To get further details and to proceed with this process click on the buttons below:
Some units have experienced an issue with data being out-of-date or not showing for newly added Scouts. This problem can be easily resolved by following the programs recommendation to conduct a 'Refresh' regularly. To learn more, follow this link to the Internet Advancement Help Guide.
