FOS (or Friends of Scouting) is the annual fundraising event for the Detroit Area Council where volunteers ask other volunteers to join them in supporting Scouting. If your unit still needs to sign up for a presentation, please contact Dave Cardon, Sunset District Family FOS Co-Chair at 734-397-3465. We need your help to get all Sunset units signed up for an FOS presentation by January 15, 2007.
Here is the information we need your help with:
A specific date, time and location for your unit’s FOS presentation. The presentation should be scheduled for sometime in January through April (please avoid Blue and Gold Pack Meetings if at all possible).
Contact person (name, phone number, e-mail) in case there are questions.

The District goal is to have a presentation in every unit. Sunset District is also looking for additional FOS presenters. Contact Dave Cardon if you are interested in helping to support scouting

James E. West Fellowship

This fellowship award, named after the first Chief Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of America, is a national recognition for those who contribute $1,000 or more in cash or securities to the local council endowment fund. Each donor is recognized with a certificate, distinctive lapel pin/charm and an embroidered square knot.
