ADVANCEMENT NEWS

On September 1, 2007; processes for Eagle Scout project and Boards of Review have changed.   Please review and follow the changes outline below.  Note that failure to follow these processes may negatively impact the scout's Eagle advancement.  All requests for a project and/or Board of Review shall be directed to advancement coordinator, Keith Frazier.

Eagle Scout Project Review by Sunset District Advancement Committee

All Sunset District Eagle Scout project reviews shall be scheduled through the advancement coordinator, Keith Frazier.  The preferred method for a project review is at the monthly Sunset District’s Roundtable, which is where there will be a sufficient number of qualified people to review and sign off on multiple projects.  However, reviews may be conducted at alternative sites (e.g. Troop Meeting) if attendance at the Roundtable is not possible.  All reviews shall be scheduled with advancement coordinator, regardless of its location.  Requests for review shall be sent no later than 5 business days prior to the requested review date.

Questions concerning this process shall be forwarded to Keith Frazier.

Eagle Scout Board of Reviews

All Sunset District Eagle Board of Reviews shall be scheduled through the advancement coordinator, Keith Frazier.  All requests for a Board or Review shall include a preferred and alternative review date to assure availability of district reviewers at the review.  Once the request is received, you will receive verification of the review date within 3 business days.  Requests for a Board or Review shall be sent no later than 15 business days prior to the requested review date.

Questions concerning this process shall be forwarded to Keith Frazier.
