There are opportunities for a variety of summer camp staff jobs. Most Scout camp staff are at least 16 years of age, but some positions have a few select jobs for youth who are a year or so younger. How Do You Apply for Scout Camp Staff? If you meet these requirements or have Scouts who meet these requirements, please call the camping department at (313) 897-1965, Ext. 258 and we will mail a Camp Staff application to them. On February 2, 2008, the Detroit Area Council will be hosting the 2008 summer camp staff interviews. Interviews will begin at 9:30 am and end at 1:00 pm at the Dauch Scout Center, 1776 West Warren Avenue, Detroit, MI 48208. We are hiring for all positions and areas at both camps, Cole Canoe Base and D-bar-A Scout Ranch. Working at a summer camp is a great way to earn money, work on merit badges, and share your Scouting spirit to other Scouts. Working at a Boy Scout camp is not only for Scouts; be sure to bring your non-scouting friends who are interested in a summer job. Any questions about working at D-bar-A Scout Ranch or Cole Canoe Base can be directed to the council camping department at 313-897-1965, ext. 258.
