It is with pleasure I announce that Katherine Land has accepted the position of district executive in Northridge District, effective November 1, 2007.

Katherine, a graduate of Central Michigan University, obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism. 

Previous work experiences include production assistant/writer at WXYZ-TV and foreign writer/editor for the China Daily Newspaper. 

Katherine is a member of the Phi Beta Delta International Honor Society.  She enjoys film, literature and dancing. 

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Katherine as she assumes her new responsibilities here in Detroit.

Cynthia Washington has accepted the position of workforce development executive in the Exploring Division, effective September 4, 2007.

Cynthia, a graduate of University of Phoenix, obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. 

She is a former flight attendant with Northwest Airlines.  She has training as a child advocate for abused and neglected children in court. 

Cynthia enjoys reading, playing tennis & basketball and exercising.

Rahsaan Lewis has accepted the position of district executive in Sunset District, effective September 4, 2007.  Rahsaan has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Michigan State University.

Rahsaan is currently the vice president of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. (Zeta Delta Chapter).  He is also an Eagle Scout.

He enjoys camping, playing all sports, reading, mentoring and listening to music.
