Virtual Patch Collection - Council Shoulder Patch (CSP) - Special Activity Patch (SAP's)
Graphics Index

Our thanks to Scouter Ken Mills for allowing us to use some of the CSP's & SAP's from his collection. Special thanks to his wife Pat for scanning them and putting them on a CD for our use.

A CSP is a shoulder patch issued for council identification only and is intended to be worn by anyone registered in the council. Included in the CSP category are shoulder patches issued to commemorate the anniversary of BSA, the anniversary of a council, a national historic event, etc. provided the patch was not issued in conjunction with a council activity.

A SAP is a shoulder patch issued for participation in a council activity such as sme, recruiting, campership, high adventure treks, camp-o-ree, NOAC, wood badge, etc. Included in this category are selected Jamboree Shoulder Patches (JSP).

Whenever you see the "CODES" arrow, simply click on it to view the abbreviations and codes used to identify the patches.

The SAP below was issued to celebrate the year 2000.
