This example should be adjusted to reflect your specific requirements.
A good time to review this is during the Program Planning Conferences.
If you inform the webmaster, your district's personalized schedule can
become a part of your District Website. This schedule does not reflect
special items of news, recognition notices, one time events, and other
items specific to the district. It does not reflect items that are updated
after the initial publication. Items listed can stay on the website
for a period of time that you feel is most effective. Information does
not have to be removed after a specific amount of time. Items should
be removed when the event/activity is completed. A good rule of thumb
is to remove the event and add the new information about how things
went, what you did, and photographs are placed in the District Scrapbook.
As you establish your personalized district schedule, it is important
to remember that providing as much advance notice as possible is very
affective in increasing awareness of and attendance at events. You do
not need to have all the detail prepared to initially publish about
the event. Letting people know that the event is coming up can always
be an initial notification. Informing people of a date to lock in provides
them enough to begin their planning process.
